Announcing a NEW Grief Before Loss Support Group at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center on Friday, November 18th, from 1-3PM. Meetings will be held in Auditorium A & B conference rooms. Open to the public!
We generally think of grief as a reaction to a death. But there is another grief that comes from loss while someone is still living. This grief is often seen when caring for someone with a chronic illness and particularly any illness that impairs a person’s cognitive ability, causes caregivers and loved ones to experience grief and loss right now. This group is for families, partners, and other caregivers of adults with disorders such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, brain injury, and other chronic debilitating health conditions. The group offers a safe place to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of providing care for a loved one.
Support Group Facilitated by JEFFREY SARKIES, M.Div., M.Ed., Client Support Specialist for About Seniors.
Please Note: There will not be a December meeting. Also, In January 2017, the meeting day & time will change to the FIRST FRIDAY of every month from 10AM to 12PM and continue throughout 2017. Meeting location will not change. Click HERE to see the 2017 Flyer.
