“The 4 Seasons to Caregiving” symposium will help caregivers, their families and healthcare professionals better understand the needs and problems their patients face as time and illness progress. Advance care planning through critical conversations helps shelter loved ones and protect caregivers from unnecessary medical intervention, stress and everlasting grief.
At this FREE symposium, you will learn:
- “The 4 Seasons to Caregiving”: Anticipate (spring), Awaken (summer), Acknowledge(autumn) and Affirm (winter).
- How to make it easier to discuss life and death matters with loved ones.
- Guidelines for appropriate care based on the patient’s medical conditions and wishes.
- Practical ways to have critical conversations during every season of life.
The event will feature Co-Keynote presentations from 2 industry leading Doctors, each representing different perspectives in the medical and research fields. There will also be a panel discussion to see how these differing perspectives meet on common ground, all with the goal of educating and helping the people who need it most, caregivers and those suffering. Co-Keynote speakers will be David Coon, PhD from the ASU College of Nursing and Health Innovation and Kevin Haselhorst, MD, an Emergency Physician at Abrazo Health, author and expert on advance care planning.
A free boxed lunch will be provided to anyone who registers for this event. To register please visit: http://www.aboutseniorsaz.com/registration-form
